Customers and loyalty

Customer history, what they owe, groups and loyalty points.

Customers shows who buys from you, what they have spent and what they still owe. You can put customers in groups with a discount, and give them points to spend at your counter.

The customer list

Open Customers in the dashboard menu (under Sell). On a phone, tap the ☰ button first.

Each row shows the customer, their group, the number of Orders, how much they Spent and what they Owes. A customer with an online badge has an account on your online store.

  • Search by name, phone or email.
  • Pick a group to see only its members.
  • Tick Owes money to see everyone with baki.

Tap a row to open the customer's page.

Add a customer

Customers are added in three ways:

  • At the POS: type a name or phone in the customer box and tap Add "…" as a new customer. See Sell with the POS.
  • Here: tap Add customer, fill in Name, Phone, Email, Group, Address and a Note, and save.
  • Online: when a customer signs up on your online store.

Tip: Always add the phone number. You find customers faster at the counter, and you can send baki reminders on WhatsApp.

The customer page

At the top you see three numbers:

  • Orders: how many, and the date of the last one.
  • Spent: everything they have bought.
  • Owes: what they still have to pay you.

Below that you see every order, with what is owed on each one, their saved Addresses and your Note.

  • Tap an order to open it and take a payment. See Orders, returns and exchanges.
  • Tap Edit to change their details or group. Untick Active to hide a customer you no longer serve.
  • Tap Delete to remove the customer.

What a customer owes

When a customer pays less than the total, at the POS or on an order, the rest is added to what they owe. You see it:

  • in the Owes column and on the customer's page,
  • in the POS when you pick the customer (owes …),
  • in Orders, with the Money owed filter.

To collect it, open the order and tap Receive payment. For due dates and reminders, see Baki and reminders.

Customer groups and member discounts

Groups give some customers a fixed discount, for example wholesale buyers or VIPs.

  1. In Customers, open the Groups tab.
  2. Tap Add group.
  3. Type a Name (for example "Wholesale") and a Discount (%).
  4. Save.

To put a customer in a group, open the customer, tap Edit and choose the Group.

When you pick a group member at the POS, their discount is added to every item by itself, and the customer box shows … % member discount. You can still change the discount on a single item. The group discount is also added when you make a new order or invoice for them.

The Groups tab shows each group's discount and how many members it has.

Loyalty points

Customers earn points when they buy and spend them as money off at your counter.

Turn points on

  1. Open Settings → Business and find Customer points.
  2. Turn on Give customers points.
  3. Set the three numbers:
    • Spend per point: for example 100 means one point for every 100 spent.
    • Points for one reward: for example 100 points.
    • Reward: money off: what those points are worth, for example 50.
  4. Turn on Email the customer when a reward unlocks if you like. It needs the customer's email.
  5. Tap Save.

Aiyaar shows what this means, for example "A customer who spends 10,000 gets 50 off".

Earning points

Only POS sales with a customer picked earn points. A walk-in sale earns nothing, so always pick the customer. After the sale, the Sale complete window shows the points earned and the new balance.

Spending points

  1. In the POS, pick the customer.
  2. If they have enough points, the cart shows their points and the reward.
  3. Tap + next to Use points to use one reward. Tap it again to use more, or − to use fewer.
  4. The money off shows under Discounts on the bill.

If a customer does not have enough points yet, the cart shows how many more they need.
