Coupons, sales and banners

Coupon codes, flash sales and offers on your store.

Bring in more customers with discount codes, automatic sales and eye-catching banners. Open Marketing in the dashboard menu (on a phone, tap the ☰ button first). It has three tabs: Coupons, Sales & flash sales and Banners.

Coupons

A coupon is a code, like EID10, that a customer types to get a discount. It works at the counter, on your online store, or both.

Add a coupon

  1. Open Marketing → Coupons.
  2. Press Add coupon.
  3. Fill in:
    • Code: the word customers type. Letters turn into capitals by themselves.
    • Description: a note for you and your staff.
    • Type: Percent off or Amount off.
    • Value: how much off, for example 10 (for 10%) or 100 (for 100 taka).
  4. Optional limits:
    • Minimum order: the coupon only works when the order is at least this much.
    • Maximum discount: for percent coupons, the most it can take off.
    • Starts and Ends: when the coupon works.
    • Total uses allowed: how many times it can be used in all.
    • Uses per customer: how many times one customer can use it.
  5. Tick where it works: In store (POS), Online, or both.
  6. Keep Active ticked and press Save.

The list shows each code, its discount, how many times it was Used, and When it runs (running, until a date, from a date, or ended).

To stop a coupon for a while, edit it and untick Active. It shows off.

How customers use it

  • Online: the shopper types the code in Coupon code at checkout and sees the discount before paying.
  • In the shop: the cashier enters the code in the POS. See Sell with the POS.

Tip: Share the code on Facebook or by SMS, and set Ends so the offer feels urgent.

Sales and flash sales

A sale lowers prices by itself, both in the POS and online, while it runs. No code is needed.

Add a sale

  1. Open Marketing → Sales & flash sales.
  2. Press Add sale.
  3. Fill in:
    • Name: for example "Winter sale". Shoppers may see it.
    • Type: Percent off or Amount off each item.
    • Value: how much off.
    • Starts and Ends: when the sale runs.
  4. Under Categories, tick the categories on sale. If you tick none, the sale covers every product.
  5. Set Priority if you run more than one sale. When two sales match the same product, the higher number wins.
  6. Keep Active ticked and press Save.

The list shows each sale, its discount, what it Applies to and When it runs.

Make it a flash sale

A flash sale is a short sale with a countdown on your online store.

  1. In the sale, tick Flash sale (countdown online).
  2. Set Ends. A flash sale needs an end time.
  3. Press Save.

It shows a flash badge in the list. To show it on your store's home page, add the Flash sale section in the home page builder, or tick Flash sale under Home page sections. See Themes and the home page.

Banners

Banners are pictures with a short message on your online store's home page, for example a new arrival or an offer. Your theme decides how they look.

Add a banner

  1. Open Marketing → Banners.
  2. Press Add banner.
  3. Fill in:
    • Title and Subtitle: the words on the banner.
    • Image: press Upload to add a picture.
    • Link: where the banner goes when tapped, for example your sale products.
    • Button text: for example "Shop now".
    • Where: Home — main banner, Home — wide strip or Home — tiles.
    • Order: lower numbers show first.
    • Show from and Show until: optional dates, so the banner comes and goes by itself.
  4. Keep Active ticked and press Save.

If you use the home page builder, add the Promo banners section to show these banners. See Themes and the home page.

Tip: Use wide, bright pictures. Most shoppers see your store on a phone, so keep the words short.
