Online store
Your online store
Publish your store, how orders arrive, and customer accounts.
Every Aiyaar business gets its own online store, made for phones. It uses the same products, prices and stock as your shop, so you never keep two lists.
Your store's address
Your store lives at aiyaar.ltd/store/your-address, where your-address is made from your business name. The exact link is at the top of Online store in the dashboard menu. Share it on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Want your own name, like yourshop.com? See Your own domain.
Note: If you do not see Online store in the menu, the online store may be switched off for your business. Turn it on under Settings → Business → Features. Your role also needs permission to manage the store.
Publish or unpublish your store
A new store is Not published: shoppers cannot see it yet, but you can.
- Open Online store.
- Press Preview store to see it in a new tab. Only you see this preview.
- Add at least one delivery option under the Delivery tab. See Payments and delivery charges.
- Press Publish store. The badge changes to Live.
To close the store for a while, press Unpublish. Your products and orders stay as they are.
Tip: Want to see how the store looks before you add your own products? Turn on Demo products. Aiyaar adds 12 sample products for your kind of business. Turn it off later to take them out; your own products are not touched.
Store settings
On the Store & theme tab, under Store details, you can set:
- Tagline: a short line about your shop.
- Announcement bar: a line shown above the header, for example a free delivery offer.
- Search title (SEO) and Search description (SEO): what Google shows for your store.
- Contact email, Contact phone and Address.
- Links to your Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Tiktok pages.
- Online orders ship from: if you have more than one shop, pick which shop's stock online orders use.
Press Save changes when you are done. To change the look of the store, see Themes and the home page.
How online orders arrive
When a shopper places an order:
- It appears in Orders with the channel Online, next to your counter sales. Use the channel filter to see only online orders.
- An email with the order details goes to your store's contact email (or your business email).
- The shopper gets an email with a link to track the order.
Open the order and press Update status as you work on it. The shopper sees each step on their tracking page: Received, Confirmed, Being prepared, On its way and Delivered. For cash on delivery, press Receive payment when the money comes in. See Orders and Delivery and riders.
Shoppers can also track an order without an account: on your store they open the tracking page and type the order number and the email or phone they used.
Customer accounts
Shoppers can create an account on your store with their name, email and a password. Aiyaar emails them a code, and they type it in to activate the account. In their account they see:
- Orders: everything they have ordered from you, with its status.
- Downloads: files they have bought (only if they bought a digital product).
- Wishlist and saved Addresses.
Must shoppers sign in?
On the Store & theme tab, the switch Customers must sign in to order decides this:
- Off: guests can check out with just their email. This is the easiest for shoppers.
- On: shoppers must create an account before they can order.
Ordering with name and mobile only
Poultry farms have one more switch: Customers can order without an email. When it is on, a name and mobile number are enough to order with cash on delivery. To pay online, the shopper still needs an email. A shopper who orders without an email gets no confirmation email.
Digital products
Some kinds of business (for example an online-only store, a general store or a bookshop) can sell Digital products: e-books, PDFs, courses, software and more.
- Open the product and choose the type Digital.
- Under Digital delivery, upload the File the buyer downloads, or paste a link in Or a link (for bigger files, a Google Drive link or a course page).
- Optional: add Access details, like a licence key or a login. These are shown only after payment.
When a cart has only digital products, checkout skips the delivery step. The download opens on the shopper's order page, and in the link in their email, as soon as the order is paid. If the shopper chose to pay you directly (bKash, Nagad or bank), record the payment on the order with Receive payment, and the download opens. See Add products.
