Poultry farms

When you choose Poultry Farm as your kind of business, Aiyaar adds the Farm page. You add your farms once, then give today's figures each day. Stock, prices and profit update by themselves. The Farm page is in Bangla.

#The Farm page

Open Farm in the dashboard menu (on a phone, tap the ☰ button at the top). The page (খামার) shows:

• live birds (জীবিত মুরগি), today's eggs in trays (আজকের ডিম), total egg stock (ডিমের মোট স্টক), today's market rate (আজকের দর) and this month's net profit (এই মাসের নিট লাভ);
• a card for each farm or shed;
• vaccine reminders, tips for today, the store room, profit and charts.

A row of shortcuts gives you the common jobs in one tap: today's entry (আজকের তথ্য), buying (কেনাকাটা), add expense (খরচ যোগ), other income (অন্যান্য আয়), sell in the POS (বিক্রি (POS)), vaccines (ভ্যাকসিন) and new farm (নতুন খামার). On a phone, swipe the row left to see them all.

#Add your farms

Add each farm or shed once.

1. Press খামার যোগ করুন (Add farm).
2. Enter the farm's name or number (খামারের নাম / নম্বর), for example "Shed 2".
3. Choose layer (লেয়ার, for eggs) or broiler (ব্রয়লার, for meat).
4. Enter the number of birds (মুরগির সংখ্যা) and their age now (বর্তমান বয়স) in days, weeks or months. The age goes up by itself every day.
5. For layers, choose the egg colour (ডিমের রং): red (লাল ডিম) or white (সাদা ডিম).
6. Choose the feed this farm eats (কোন ফিড খায়), so feed comes off the store room.
7. Save.

When the old birds are sold and new chicks come in, open the farm and turn on new batch (নতুন ব্যাচ শুরু). The count, age and vaccine schedule start again.

#Today's entry

Press the big আজকের তথ্য দিন (Give today's figures) button. Fill in only what you have and leave the rest empty. You can give figures as many times a day as you like, for example morning and evening.

For each farm:

• Eggs in trays (আজকের ডিম (ট্রে)). You can write 35.5 trays. Broken or cracked eggs (ভাঙা / ফাটা ডিম) go in pieces and stay apart, to sell cheaper.
• Average weight in kg (আজকের গড় ওজন), for broilers.
• Feed given (খাবার দেওয়া) in bags. It comes off the store room.
• Medicine or vaccine given (ওষুধ / ভ্যাকসিন দেওয়া) from the store room, and how much. Its cost is added.
• Deaths (মারা গেছে). Aiyaar suggests the loss in kg and in money (আনুমানিক ক্ষতি), which counts in your profit.
• Birds sold (বিক্রি হয়েছে), for broilers.
• Today's cost (আজকের খরচ) and what it was for: medicine, vitamin, vaccine, electricity, labour, transport or other.
• A note, for example "2 birds sick, kept apart".

At the top, enter today's market rate (আজকের বাজারদর): eggs per tray, or broiler per kg. This becomes the selling price in the POS.

Made a mistake? Press আজকের এন্ট্রি (Today's entries), delete the wrong one and enter it again. Stock, bird count and costs go back as they were.

#Sell eggs by tray, hali or piece

Every farm's eggs of one colour sell as one product: red eggs (লাল ডিম) or white eggs (সাদা ডিম). In the POS, tap the eggs and choose:

• 1 tray (১ ট্রে, 30 eggs),
• half a tray (আধা ট্রে, 15 eggs),
• 1 hali (১ হালি, 4 eggs),
• 1 egg (১টি),
• or type trays (ট্রে) and pieces (পিস).

Stock is counted by the egg and shown in trays. See Sell with the POS.

#The store room and buying

The store room (গোডাউন) holds feed, medicine and vaccine you keep in stock, not for sale. For each item you see how much was used this month, the cost, and about how many days it will last (~ দিন চলবে). Items running low or out (শেষ) are marked.

To add what you bought:

1. Press কেনাকাটা (Buying).
2. Choose what you bought (কী কিনলেন), or add a new item: feed (খাদ্য / ফিড), medicine, vaccine or vitamin, or equipment (যন্ত্রপাতি).
3. Enter the quantity (পরিমাণ) and the price of each (প্রতিটির দাম).
4. If you like, add the seller (কার কাছ থেকে), their mobile and the expiry date (মেয়াদ শেষ).
5. Enter how much you paid now (এখন কত দিলেন). Anything left is kept as due to that seller.

#Expenses and other income

• খরচ যোগ (Add expense): vaccine, medicine, electricity, labour and more, for one farm. It goes into your khata and the farm's profit.
• অন্যান্য আয় (Other income): money from selling empty bags or manure. It is added to your khata and profit.

#Vaccine reminders and notifications

Each farm has a usual vaccine schedule by age. Open ভ্যাকসিন (Vaccines) to see it. On the Farm page, the vaccine reminder card (ভ্যাকসিন মনে করিয়ে দেওয়া) shows what is due today, tomorrow or late. Press দেওয়া হয়েছে (Given) when done.

Turn on notifications with নোটিফিকেশন চালু করুন. Aiyaar then reminds you at 10 am and 8 pm if today's figures are missing, and on vaccine days, even when Aiyaar is closed. Press পরীক্ষা করুন to send a test.

#Profit and charts

The profit card (লাভ-ক্ষতির হিসাব) shows today (আজ) and this month (এই মাস):

• money in: egg or bird sales, and other income;
• money out: feed, medicine and vaccine from the store room, other costs, and the loss of birds that died;
• net profit (নিট লাভ).

With more than one farm, choose all farms (সব খামার) or one farm. A farm's share of egg sales follows the eggs it gave.

Two charts show where this month's costs went (এই মাসের খরচ কোথায় গেল) and income against costs for the last 14 days (গত ১৪ দিনের আয় ও খরচ). Each farm card also shows the laying rate (উৎপাদন হার), feed this month and feed against eggs.
